The owner of Duke & Duchess, Rashida, was born and raised in Lethbridge and is very connected to the community. She loves to give back to the cultural scene and does a lot to support local visual and musical artists. The staff is friendly, and the coffeehouse is just like a comfortable second home where you are always welcome, and you hate to leave.
The food created is made with love and stems from a natural passion for cooking. Owners and Head Chef, Rashida, grew up in her Grandmother’s kitchen helping her cook secret family recipes. This has inspired a deep passion for cooking in Chef Rashida and she gets great pleasure from making people happy through food. She is a world traveler, which has brought other influences into her cuisine. She has learned regional cooking methods while living across Asia and Europe. Then after taking an entrepreneurship class, she opened her restaurant, much to the delight of Lethbridge foodies.
